Durban based NJR Shopfitters cc began its modest operation in 1992. Mr. Karthy Moodley a Quantity Surveyor by profession is the CEO and The Operations Director of the company. Exposure to the various trades whilst in professional practice in the building industry.
Mr. Moodley found his niche in the JOINERY and Shopfitting Industry. With Commitment, passion and dedication, and with his team/staff spanning two decades built the company on a rock-solid foundation. The rewards of which is being recognized as a reputed and preferred company in the building Industry today. The company has grown exponentially and now occupies a fully established and equipped factory premises and office space in Phoenix Industrial Park.
Our contracts/works are primarily with Developers, Architects, Quantity Surveyors, Project Managers and Contractors on various scales of specialized Carpentry and Joinery We ensure that projects that are undertaken meet and exceed the client’s expectation. Our dedicated, smart working and passionate workforce finds no challenge too big or small. We pride ourselves in making sure every project is successfully completed timeously.
We at NJR Shopfitters have for many years committed ourselves in employing the local people from the surrounding PINK divisional area i.e. Phoenix, Inanda, Ntuzuma & KwaMashu areas. Our Management and senior staff are passionate and committed to training young individuals who have either left or finished school. Employees are empowered and motivated to use the opportunity to become successful trades men and women developing later into entrepreneurs.
We further run Learnership programmes whereby we encourage and invite students from the local or woodworking schools program, to send their learners over the school holidays to join in the program of skills development in woodworking and theory learning, to our factory premises. This has proven to being very successful over the years and has created an interest with many learners.
The learners are also introduced to Matters dealing with Health and Safety in the factory and on sites and are accorded high priority as we at NJR Shopfitters Regard Health and Safety of our employees and the surrounding public to be of vital importance. It is therefore our primary objective to Achieve and Maintain the highest practicable level of Health and Safety control in all areas of our operation. Our employees are trained so as to ensure competence in the workplace and to be aware of the potential hazards in the workplace and on site. Skills and awareness are taught to individuals/learners to equip themselves so as to avoid protentional accidents and injuries to themselves and others in their surrounding workspace and area.
